Annibale Carracci trained in Bologna with his cousin, Lodovico Carracci, and possibly Bartolomeo Passerotti. His early works show the influence of Antonio da Correggio and the Parma school. Pictures such as this head and others from this period, however, take their cue from Venetian art.
