Lorenzo Giustiniani (1381-1455) entered the Augustinian monastery of San Giorgio in Alga, becoming general of the congregation; he was later appointed first bishop of Grado and from this derived the reputation of being the first Patriarch of Venice; he was canonised in 1690. Formerly catalogued as Alessandro Turchi, but correctly attributed to Ottino by Magagnato in 1974. A version was sold at Christie's, 4 April 1986 (lot 39).
