The status of this picture is problematic, thanks to its condition. Burke proposed that it might be a replica, by Both himself, of the original in the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp (inv. No. 26, 56 x 70cm) - and certain elements (the trees and distant mountain) certainly appear fine enough to be from Both's own hand.
